Groupon Goods Global GmbH Returns Policy

This Returns Policy only applies in respect of products purchased from Groupon Goods Global GmbH (“Groupon Goods”) from the Groupon UK site or the mobile application. This returns policy does NOT apply in respect of any vouchers you purchased from Groupon UK which are redeemable with merchants for goods.

 

Returning unwanted products: 

As described in the Terms of Sale, you have up to 7 working days starting the day after you receive your Goods to cancel your contract and return your item using our Online Returns Centre, unless the fine print of the deal states the product cannot be returned.  You are responsible for the return shipping costs of the Goods when you cancel your contract.  Please note that the sooner you return the Goods, the more quickly we will be able to process your refund.

Once the products have been returned to us they will be inspected. Unwanted products must be returned unused, except to the extent necessary to examine the products, and in good condition. You must take care to ensure that the Goods are properly packaged so that they will not be damaged while in transit.  If the goods are found to be used or damaged then we may not process a refund and we will contact you by email.  Otherwise, a refund will be processed within 30 days of your cancellation.

 

Defective, faulty or non-conforming products:

If a product has a defect or fault existing at the time of delivery or does not conform to your order, you have a statutory right to return the product using our Online Returns Centre. If a product becomes defective after the withdrawal period, you won’t be able to return it using our Online Returns Centre.  We strongly encourage you to get in touch with customer service as soon as you become aware of the problem.  We encourage you to inspect each product carefully upon receipt. 

If you return defective, faulty or non-conforming products to us, the product will be inspected at our warehouse. If a defect or fault is found or the product does not match your order, we will be happy to provide a full refund, in accordance with applicable law.  Products that have been misused or changed may not be eligible for returns. If this applies to your order we will contact you by email.

If you are eligible for a refund, such refunds will be processed within 30 days.

 

How to return a product using our Online Returns Centre:

You must follow this process to return Goods to us. Except in the case of defective, faulty or non-conforming Goods, returns not complying with these requirements will be rejected.

  1. Log in to your Groupon account and go on the My Orders tab.
  2. Find the order you want to return and click on Click to return.
  3. Select an option from the Reason for return menu and then add any additional information in the Returns details box.
  4. Click Continue then Print Shipping Label to print the return shipping label.
  5. Follow the instructions on the shipping label and place the label outside your package.

Groupon Goods can only accept returns of products sold by it. Any items accidentally returned to Groupon Goods cannot be re-sent to the customer. Groupon Goods will not be responsible for these items.

Please note that large items exceeding 5 kgs or any lengths exceeding 460mm cannot be returned using our Online Returns Centre.  To return such items, please contact our customer service.

 

Specific policies by product category:

While the fine print of a deal will always identify if a product cannot be returned, below is a list of products that may have returns or other limitations.

Category

Specific reasons

Baby Goods

All baby items need to be returned in original and new condition. If, upon inspection, the items appear to be used, worn or without tags, Groupon Goods will not be able to process your return.

Mattresses & Bedding

For hygiene reasons we cannot accept returns on any opened mattresses or bedding.   Bedding items include duvets, pillows, mattress toppers etc.

Jewellery

We cannot accept returns on any pierced body jewellery such as earrings for hygiene reasons.

Food, beverages & flowers

We do not accept returns on perishable items such as food, beverages and flowers.

Clothes, Shoes & Watches

Clothes must be returned unused and in a resalable condition with all tags.  If, upon inspection, clothes appear to be worn or without tags, Groupon Goods cannot accept returns.  We cannot accept returns on certain types of clothing such as underwear, swimwear and control wear for hygiene reasons.

Health & Beauty

We cannot accept returns on items where packaging seals have been broken due to hygiene and safety reasons.

Furniture – outdoor & indoor

We are unable to accept returns on any self-assembly products that have been partially or fully assembled.  We try to provide accurate measurements on our deal page and we are unable to accept returns where furniture will not fit through the doors at the delivery address. Products must be undamaged and unused.

Books

Books can be returned in new condition.

CDs & DVDs

We cannot accept returns on CDs, DVDs or Software programmes if the plastic wrapping and/or security seal has been broken or on any digital downloads.

Periodicals & Magazines

We cannot accept returns of periodicals and magazines.

Electronics

In order to protect your privacy and other interests in data, please delete all data on returned electronics and reset the products to factory settings. Groupon Goods is not responsible for any data contained on returned items.

If you fail to comply with the provisions of this Return Policy, Groupon Goods reserves the right to refuse returns or to charge you our fees and expenses.
